Reevaluating Eagles D

A friend, who had called the Eagles' defense and coach Jim Johnson "pathetic" in November, has offered up a helping of crow. He now writes, contritely:

Johnson's defense this year has possibly turned into his best ever. The D-line is still under-sized, but he's done a tremendous job with these young linebackers, turning them into the unsung heroes of this defense.

On another note, our special teams might have been the difference today. Akers went 4-4 and Jackson's punt returns set up a FG and also was a huge field position changer. Oh, and their punter sucked.
