More Lidge

My other most knowledgeable baseball friend, now more svelte but still larger than my other most knowledgeable friend, and a former minor leaguer or something like that to boot, offers his opinion on the Lidge deal: 

 

“The Phils made a good deal here.  Bourn has plus speed obviously, but a fringe bat, and the rest are spare parts.  Lidge allows Myers back into the rotation where he belongs.  the Phils are simply a third baseman away from being the favorite in the NL next year.”
