Listening to the game on WPHT last night, the two announcers were incomprehensible for about 30 seconds during the attempted double play in the top of the 9^th. They were only able to offer a stream of gibberish intermixed with the roars of the crowd that drown everything out and signified at least that SOMETHING big had just happened. Finally, they were able to intelligibly bleat out “it’s a double play, the game is over, the Phils win.”
