One has to wonder how tone deaf the Obama administration is to send Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner out to tout the success of the TARP program, the implicit message being that they helped save the banks, they're doing great, but it didn't translate to helping regular people save their jobs or homes.

And as Yves Smith has pointed out, even Geithner's statements misrepresent TARP's "success."
