Interesting/Big Name players cut

Culling the list of final roster cuts of teams across the NFL are some surprise starters from last year, recent big-time FA acquisitions, and more than a few players with the talent and at positions that could help bolster the Eagles roster.

Perhaps the biggest cut was Jax starting QB Byron Leftwich, their 2003 #1 pick. Other notable cuts and other roster moves (i.e., placed on PUP):

Pats' Richard Seymour (PUP)
Bengals' LB Edgarton Hartwell and WR Reggie McNeal (wouldn't Hartwell be worth a look in a platoon/part-time situation?)
Priest Holmes (placed on the non-football injured list.he's still in football?)
Pats' LB Chad Brown and QB Vinny Testaverde
S Donovan Darius (Oak)
Bears rookie QB Chris Leak
Miami FB Corey Schlesinger and WR Az Hakim
Cleveland QB Ken Dorsey
Skins' DL Renaldo Wynn and rookie LB Dallas Sartz (Sartz would be a good project for the Eagles. He'll probably wind up on someone's practice squad.)
Cowboys' CB Aaron Glenn, OL Trey Darilek, and K Martin Grammatica placed on IR
Steelers' RB Verron Hayes
Jets' Andre Wadsworth and DL Kimo von Oelhoffen
Our old friend Billy McMullen in Minnesota. That trade for Hank Baskett looks better and better.
Another old friend DL Sam Rayburn was let go in San Fran.
Another former Eagle, Scott Peters was let go in Arizona.
Texan WR Bethel Johnson and Keenan McCardell
Dhani Jones, LB, Saints - 'nuff said.
DB J.R. Reed was let go by the Giants as was Will Demps
