Everyone has referenced the 7 games back with 17 to play as the benchmark for how much incredible ground the Phillies made up in the last two and half weeks of the season. But really, isn’t two back with five to play even more indicative of the shocking turn of events? Especially since the Phillies won the division outright meaning that they picked up three games on the division leader in five total.
