Patriot Spy Games

Even NFL company man Peter King thinks there was fishy stuff with the way Roger Goodell and the league handled the Patriots/Belichick cheating “investigation.”

And I love how Patriots fans continue to be in denial and full victim mode now that there coaching “genius” was caught cheating and has now cast doubt on all their wins. Point in case is the Sport’s Guy who wrote, “My answer: In case you didn't notice, the Patriots have been in Screws-You Mode ever since the Mangini thing happened.”

Note he calls it the “Mangini thing.” As if the Patriots cheating is Eric Mangini’s fault. It’s like calling the famous 90’s double homicide the “Nicole Simpson thing.” Why sully OJ’s name by even mentioning it in the same breath as such a sordid incident. Oh that’s right. You do it cause they got caught.

And I also don’t get Simmons’ defense of the Pats running up the score now, “it's the most effective way to wave both middle fingers at the rest of the league and prove that they didn't need to cheat to win three Super Bowls.”

Huh? Wave a finger at the league cause they caught you cheating? The Patriots were caught cheating and they’re the victims? And how does Tom Brady throwing long TD bombs to newly acquired Randy Moss somehow “prove” that the Patriots didn’t need to cheat when David Patten and David Givens were their WR while “winning” super bowls?

Whatever.
