Bob Clarke must be doing a little dance right about now…he ruined Eric Lindros’ career. Still, an MVP award, an Olympic gold and a silver aren’t too shabby for the can’t miss prospect out of London, Ontario. Remember how excited the city was when the Flyers traded for him…and the arbitrator eventually ruled in the Flyers’ favor that the trade was valid? (indeed, an eerily similar scenario played out with a premier yet star-crossed athlete in Philadelphia – the wide receiver who must not be named).

 

Remember when the Flyers were good? Remember when the Corestates/First Union/Wachovia opened? Remember when the Flyers still mattered?
